  • Mold spores circulate in indoor and outdoor air almost constantly. When they land, they only need a little humidity to grow.

  • Mold exposure can cause nasal stuffiness, eye irritation, wheezing, or skin irritation. People with serious allergies to molds may have fever and shortness of breath, and people with chronic lung illness may develop mold infections in their lungs.
  • In some cases, insurance claim payouts and jury awards have gone high as $195 million. Like many claims, once a claim is filed, coverage may be dropped or premiums increase dramatically.
